Chenani-Nasri Tunnel is the engineering marvelous of India. Chenani Nasri Tunnel is also known as Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Tunnel. This tunnel is located in Jammu & Kashmir state and crosses Patnitop, Kud, and Batote. The India’s longest tunnel ever having length 9.28 km. Formerly known as chenani nashri tunnel, it is located in Jammu Kashmir state, India. It connects Jammu to Srinagar and reduces 30 km traveling distance.

Current Issue: There is lack of fresh air due to heavy traffic volume. some high-power Air exhaust fan has been provided but are not sufficient to exhaust the polluted air from one side to another. Polluted air is turbulating inside of the tunnel due to 2 lanes-2-way traffic.
